Deep tissue massage in Lindenhurst

Firm, slow, focused pressure for the tension that a lighter massage never quite reaches, with a licensed therapist who checks in as you go.

Firm doesn't have to mean painful

Pressure that works with you

Deep tissue massage uses slow strokes and sustained pressure to work into tight muscle, rather than gliding over it. It's a good match for people who feel like they carry their stress in one or two stubborn spots.

Good deep work shouldn't make you hold your breath. You'll feel strong pressure, but your therapist will keep checking in and adjust whenever you ask. If something feels like too much, say so and it changes right away.

To book, choose a 50- or 80-minute massage on our menu and ask for firm pressure. Your therapist will spend the time where you need it most.

Where it helps

Common reasons people book

Tell your therapist where you feel it and they'll plan the session around that area.
  • Tight neck and shoulders

Desk work, driving and phones all pull in the same direction. Slow pressure helps those muscles let go.

  • A stiff lower back

Whether it comes from a long commute or a day on your feet, focused work can ease that end-of-day tightness.

  • Active weekends

Yard work, gym sessions and days on the water can leave muscles sore. A firm massage can help you recover.

  • Your choice of pressure

Firm is the starting point, not a rule. You can ask your therapist to ease off at any time.

What to expect

  1. Pick your time

Choose 50 minutes for one or two problem areas, or 80 minutes for more unhurried work.

  2. Show us the spot

Before you start, tell your therapist where it hurts, how much pressure you like and anything they should avoid.

  3. Slow, focused work

Your therapist warms up the area first, then works gradually deeper, checking in along the way.

  4. Take it easy after

Drink some water and go easy for the rest of the day. Feeling a little tender afterward can be normal.

FAQs

Common questions

  • How do I book a deep tissue massage?

Book a 50- or 80-minute massage on our Jane booking page and let your therapist know you'd like firm, deep pressure. The 80-minute session is with Brianna.

  • Does deep tissue massage hurt?

You'll feel strong pressure, and some spots may feel tender, but it shouldn't be painful. Your therapist will check in and you can ask for lighter pressure at any time.

  • Will I be sore afterward?

Some people feel a little tender for a day or so, much like after a good workout. Drinking water and taking it easy that day can help.

  • What's the difference between Swedish and deep tissue massage?

Swedish massage uses long, gliding strokes to relax the whole body. Deep tissue uses slower strokes and sustained pressure on tight areas. Many clients like a mix of both.

  • Can I add cupping to a deep tissue massage?

Cupping is a separate 25-minute treatment paired with targeted massage. It's a popular choice for tight backs and shoulders, and you can ask Brianna whether it suits you.
